In the third warm up Match before the World Cup down under, Bangladesh put up a target of 247 for Pakistan today at Sydney’s Blacktown Olympic Park Oval. Winning the toss to bat first, Bangladesh rode on Mahmudullah Riad’s blushing 109 balls 83 run knock and Tamim Iqbal’s outstanding 81 to post the challenge.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s Mohammad Irfan picked up five wickets for his side to pack all the tigers in 49.5 overs. In their chase, Pakistan lost their two openers within 4.1 overs, posting just 8 runs to the score board.
Later, Haris Sohail and Umar Akmal scored 39 each to come back to the game, while Sohaib Maqsood remained unbeaten on 59 with skipper Misbah-ul-Haq at the crease till filling the report after 39 overs. Pakistan now require another 66 runs with 5 wickets and 11 overs remaining.
